In an aero-engine, the outer culvert is an important part of a turbofan engine, which is responsible for guiding part of the airflow around the core (i.e., the inner culvert) and directly out through the engine casing, thus generating thrust. The design of the outer culvert has an important impact on increasing engine thrust, reducing fuel consumption, and minimizing noise.

The outer culvert support mainly plays the following roles:

1. Supporting and fixing: the outer culvert bearing is used to support and fix the outer culvert to ensure its stability and reliability during engine operation.

2. Load bearing: In the process of engine operation, the outer culvert will be subjected to a variety of forces, such as airflow pressure, vibration and so on. The outer culvert support needs to be able to withstand these loads to prevent deformation or damage to the outer culvert.

3. Transfer heat: some of the outer culvert bearing is also designed with heat dissipation structure, which is used to transfer the heat generated by the outer culvert to the cooling medium, so as to maintain the normal working temperature of the outer culvert.
