Lightweight and high strength: the density of titanium alloy is generally around 4.51g/cm3, only 60% of steel, but the strength of some high-strength titanium alloys exceeds that of many alloy structural steels. Therefore, the specific strength (strength/density) of titanium alloys is much greater than that of other metal structural materials, and is suitable for the manufacture of parts with high unit strength, good rigidity and light weight.

High temperature resistance: the use of titanium alloy temperature is several hundred degrees higher than aluminum alloy, can be in the medium temperature to maintain the required strength, part of the titanium alloy can be in the 450 ~ 500 ℃ temperature of long-term work.

Corrosion resistance: titanium alloy works in humid atmosphere and seawater medium, its corrosion resistance is far better than stainless steel, it is particularly strong resistance to pitting corrosion, acid corrosion, stress corrosion, and it has excellent corrosion resistance to alkali, chloride, chlorine organic items, nitric acid, sulfuric acid and so on.

Good low-temperature performance: titanium alloys with very low interstitial elements, such as TA7, can maintain a certain degree of plasticity at -253℃, and are important low-temperature structural materials.
